Scanning receipts with OCR

k-factu can scan your receipts and automatically extract expense data. Go to Expenses > Scan Receipt to use the dedicated scanning flow:

1) Upload a photo of your receipt (JPEG, PNG, or PDF). You can also use your phone camera directly.

2) The OCR engine extracts: supplier name, NIF/CIF, date, total amount, and IVA breakdown.

3) Fields with 90%+ confidence are shown in green. Fields between 70-90% show in yellow (review recommended). Below 70% shows in red (manual entry needed).

4) Review and correct any fields, select a category, then save.

The system supports Spanish receipts including NIF/CIF extraction and IVA rate detection. Maximum file size is 10 MB.
